Job Requirements

Essential:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering; Master’s preferred
• At least 5+ years of product development knowledge in MPEG domain
• Must have extensive knowledge of Buffer Model and Rate control for MPEG/other codecs
• Must have familiarity with all parts of ISO/IEC 13818
• Should have prior experience in understanding, designing and implementing solutions from standard body references (ISO, ITU, SMPTE etc)
• Experience in one of more of the following audio/video standards: MPEG2, MPEG-4 (H.264), VC-1, DV/DVCPro, WMV9, AAC, HE-AAC, WMA, Dolby-E, MOV, ASF, MXF or other A/V standards (e.g. ISO MPEG, ITU, SMPTE)
• Product architecture and software design skills are required
• Experience with all practices of the software engineering lifecycle, including: requirements definition, design, work estimation, debugging and defect fixing, and testing
• Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience of test driven development, unit testing and automated testing
• Experience of developing in an Agile environment (e.g. Scrum)
